The Nightwing title concluded in April 2014 at issue #30, and was replaced with a new title, Grayson, which depicts Dick having given up his life as Nightwing at age 22 and going undercover as an agent of the Spyral organization where the former Batwoman Kathy Kane works.

A new era has begun in the DC Universe (and we have a full reading order of this era) in which Dick Grayson is back as Nightwing with a new (red) costume. He also has his own title written by Kyle Higgins, while making some appearances in Batman (helped by a few Bat events).

Nightwing is a superhero legacy name associated with the planet Krypton and the Batman Family, usually working alongside a sidekick and partner named Flamebird. Originally it was an alias used by a mysterious Kryptonian figure, and later adopted by Superman and Van-Zee in the bottle city of Kandor.

Learn how Dick Grayson became Nightwing, the original Robin, and one of the greatest heroes in the DC Universe. Explore his history, relationships, and challenges from his debut in 1940 to his latest adventures in 2020.

The iconic and fan-favorite Discowing suit, featuring a plunging neckline and sequins, makes a comeback in a variant cover of Nightwing #113, celebrating Dick Grayson's 300th issue. The suit's return raises hope for its appearance in the current narrative, following DC's revival of classic outfits in the Dawn of DC era.
